The Trestle

This is a photo of one of my passenger trains crossing a scratch-built trestle that was built from weed stems harvested from the pasture behind my house. I used the weed stems for piling and Northeastern stripwood for bracing and stringers. The trestle spans an aisle on my layout and is 4 feet long, with approximately 50 feet of stripwood used in the bracing and deck stringers. The locomotive is a IHC Premier series with custom decals, and the coaches are all Labelle Kits. Photo by Mike Ellis
