Canyon City

In this view, you are looking toward the north end of the Canyon City yard and industrial area. Most of these buildings are from various kits, kitbashed, and scratch-built. This area has been partially reworked since this photo was taken to smooth out some of the track problems at the throat of the industrial area that you see in the left foreground in front of the two boxcars spotted at the freight station, another Alexander kit.

This photo is of the southern terminal of the F&CC at Canyon City. The foreground models are Campbell kits, the blue building is Campbell Supply, the one on the left is Campbell's Richmond Barrel. The tall grey structure behind them is an old Alexander Kit of a coaling tower. The brick structure is an Atlas Roundhouse kit.

Doorways can become somewhat of an inconvenience in layout design. Note that the brown strip at the top of this photo is the upper level mainline just before it crosses the doorway. The "lift out" section that is laying on top of it.
