This is another view looking down the upper leg of the switchback with Hiesler #7 pushing a train of empty log cars up to the Post/Buckhorn log camp. This is also a better view of the scratchbuilt trees I have made. The Aspens are locally acquired weeds with seed pods still attached, dipped in white flat latex paint. After the white paint dries I dip the tree trunk in diluted white glue, and while glue is still wet, sprinkle it with dyed sawdust in fall colors that I have dyed myself. A very cheap way to produce a lot of trees. The evergreen is a limb from a discarded artificial Christmas tree shaped with scissors and processed the same way as the Aspen trees except I used different shades of Woodland Scenics fine turf to achieve the look I wanted.
