South Cripple Creek, CO

This is a view of the town of South Cripple Creek next to the large Coal Mine. There is a diesel salesman hanging from a tree in the near center of the photo for trying to sell diesel locomotives to the F&CC railroad. A young man and woman are having a clandestine meeting behind a store where she works for her Daddy. A family group on the board walk in front of the gun shop are discussing politics with the Wells Fargo wagon driver. Between the grey building at the left rear and the Grand Hotel is a road connecting South Cripple Creek with the distant town on the backdrop. Photo by Mike Ellis
