The 3T Stockyard model is a scratch-built stock pen based on an article that appeared in Model Railroader Magazine sometime in the mid sixties, Campbell Scale Models has since come out with a kit of this model based on the same article. The Valley Lumber Yard is yet another Alexander kit. They have since been bought out by a company called California Scale Models. The background model is a Model Power Kit of a pickle works that I have kitbashed into "Standard Chemical." Most model railroaders still recognize it as a pickle factory but to my railroad it is a chemical company. The vehicles in this scene are from Reader's Digest, Jorden Minatures, and almost to scale toys like the pickup at the lumber yard. Photo by Doyle Davis
