Apple Junction Locomotive Service Facilities

This photo is of the locomotive service facilities at the Apple Junction engine terminal. The coaling tower is a Plastic Lifelike kit assembled, painted, and weathered by my brother, Tommy. It is a replica of one that still stands today and in use on the Cumbres and Toltec narrow guage tourist railroad. The buildings on the upper level are on the branchline called the "Cripple Creek District Railroad," all are Alexander model kits assembled and installed on my first HO-scale layout. The town buildings to the right of the coaling tower are from various plastic kit manufacturers. Photo by Doyle Davis
